ABOUT CORDELIA DRIUSSI

Teaching and learning were practically written into my DNA. With a family of academics and educators, I have always held myself and my peers to a higher standard of excellence in their own pursuit of learning. My grandmother, Sumie Jones, a Professor Emerita at Indiana University, has always inspired me to work harder in my research and to be the best student I can be so that my foundation will be strong for a lifelong career of teaching.

The greatest learning moments occur over a long-term relationship between student and teacher, which is supported by respect and empathy. The connection between students' lives outside of school and the educational material in the classroom is a bridge I intend to build again and again with my students.
